Hooray. Di anyone notice I've now done 901 entries on this thing. Only 99 to go before I do something. yay.
So I was quite depressed yesterday I totally was not thrilled with how my workshop went which was the wake callI needed to realise that the show I was writing was crap. Went about it the wrong way, there was a concept but no hook, no question and nothing to bring the viewer back the next week. It reeked of failure and I knew it as I hated telling anyone about it.
So I started again, wrote a much better pilot synopsis last night, with character development and everything.
My problem was that I went overboard with silliness, which completely detracted from the actual point of the series. Which I didnt even clarify leaving a mess of confusion in my wake.
Now however, although still a little sketchy I have created something with a lot more potential, something thats actually worth refining into a script.
Theres still silliness its just not the main focus. Work in progress. Work in progress.
