I am sitting on a red stool at work as the trailer for cloverfield plays for the millionth time, there are two customers in store that I occasional cast an eye on. One is in the porno room. The other: recent releases. This night has been so slow and average.
Oh i think the porno man is about to leave the room. here he comes.. ok now hes in true story. No country for old man plays on in the backgroud, just the trailer its not out til the 21st.
Ok the guy has been and gone, he bought a movie called Wildest sex ever. Because hes off to a stag do. Stippers and big screen tvs. Im not sure why you'd want a porno when youve got real naked bodies, but maybe its the sex or something.

So what movies have i seen lately?
National Treasure 2: I found this move to be ridiculous, he has wild guesses and turns out to be right, and it implies that the queens and kings since victorias reign are stupid, but not the maagic presidents of america. Yawn was my reaction through the whole movie, also after seeing wicker man (HOWD IT GET BURNED!!) I can never take nicholas cage seriously.
The Game plan: This is the one where a tough guy (the rock) has to look after a little kid. Yeah one of those movies. Um, yeah everything is as you think it would be. I dont even know if kids would like this movie as its too full of football references that we dont have here!
The mist: Steven kings new movie adapted from a novella. Its about a mist that descends on a town bringing with it monsters that eat people, trapping a bunch of people inside a supermarket. Yeah one of those movies. Let alone the fact that i had this idea for a movie since 2003. Right down to the lady who believes theres nothing out there and goes outside and it is never seen if she survives or not. (that was going to be played by natalie if she recalls)
Steven king once again does not know how to end his stories. But I did like this 'twist' i use the quotations because its rather obvious once you get there.
I am Legend: man ive been hearing so much praise from this movie, but the thing just never appealed to me. Hes the sole survivor in an abandoned city that once used to swarming with people. Sounds familiar, like oh 28 days later.
It even has zombies (though they are apparently meant to be vampires). I just didnt care through this entire movie. Its been done! Too much.
Jumper: Right from the opening line I couldnt stand the main character, he is such an arrogant jerk. 'My life is so perfect but i used to be a chump like you. witness my past and try to feel sorry for me, until i decide to rob banks and misuse my powers for personal gain' This movie would work better if it was a pilot for a tv series. Especially with how it ends. It just seems like its setting up a tv series. Oh well.
Live!: this is a mockumentary about a tv studio trying to make a reality tv show about people playing russian roulette. I really enjoyed this movie, perhaps because ive done documentary studies and i recognise the medium they are playing around with, and also due to being a media student and we have discussed these kind of questions the movie raises all the time. I enjoyed it from start to finish with the ending being nail bitingly good. though that may be from m love of survivor, which by the way BEST SEASON EVER
My god the last five episodes of survivor have been absolutely amazing.
First eliza is given the idol by jason after he wins immunity but it turns out to be fake. Then they blindside ozzy who actually had the idol. Then they blindside jason who had just found the idol. Then james has to leave due to injury and they attempt to vote out amanda (who im going for) but she had found the idol and so it was reversed onto alexis. And just been, erik wins immunity and the girls convince him to give it to natalie and then they vote him off. Dumbest player ever. Oh man it was just awesome. Of course it means nothing to those who dont watch it, but oh well. Im putting it here for future reference.
The final is this week, and that should be awesome too. Never has a series of survivor been this great. This better be the last one cause theres no way they can top it.
Ok ok thats enough of that. The guy left without getting anything but he did pay 5 off of his $8 late fees so thats alright.
I thik tonight im gonna get out blonde and blonder and maybe the golden compass. I dont know if i should watch both. not both tonight but if i dont im not gonna get much of a chance.. meh whatever. Im really struggling to find a decent article to do for my essay, everything i search for is only 1 page long. I cant do that. Thats shitty.
Maybe the library will actually have books on internet memes. Who knows. Im backing um the computers right now listening to the trailer of I am legend.
