Man, that is one exhausting movie to watch. Not because its long (2 hours) or boring (and its not) or confusing. Ok I'll admit its confusing and repeated viewings would be necessary for those that cant grasp plot and absorb what they see. Its just like Donnie Darko a film that warrants repeat viewings but I have never watched it again and still managed to understand it fine. I am of course referring to Southland Tales. Which is a movie I have been waiting for since I heard Sarah Michelle Gellar was to be in it 4 years ago. Though back then it was called a sequal to Donnie Darko, wwhere it clearly is not. Its not as beautiful as donnie darko thoughm and is rather clunky. But its a different style of beauty thats hidden under the surface.
I enjoyed it, but my mind is now reeling from the exhausting ammount of information thrust at me. I dont see this one haunting my dreams as much but my mind is quiet enough yet so who knows.
Do i recomend? Yes. If you're disappointed then it just means you arent focusing enough on whats being presented and what isnt. Or maybe its just not your thing.
Though I must say itd be nice to see an end of the world from the perspective of oh the world rather than just america. As the end of the world just looks like the end of america to me. Im looking at you heroes.
So thats my movie review done, i got to see it 2 days before it hit the stores because it came in early and ive waited oh so long, and I wouldnt be able to stand people telling me what its like. I absolutley had to watch it by myself too, now that ive seen it I am willing to share. Im undecided as to whether i will buy it though.. perhaps. But planet terror should be finally out now so thats first on my list.
Pam came round today, we played bubble bobble on the wii and relived childhood memories. We clocked the game and it took us more than hour to beat the end boss only to get the bad ending as both of us were meant to survive. Oh well.
That was nice, finally my wii gets utilised as it is meant to be. Its called wii for a reason, its a social gaming machine even if it has crappy online capabilities. But free so im not complaining.
Work was average, no dramas there.
