So what was 2007 like? Did it rock out loud for all the reasons I predicted? Yes, yes it did. For those reasons anyway. Final Fantasy 12, was another disappointment, Pokemon was awesome but is currently being neglected to focus on FF12. (almost done). Buffy Season 8 was neat but pales in comparison to Angel season 6 which is awesome. Movies this year were terrible. Year of the threequel indeed.
There was a holiday in wellington that was good times, I passed all my papers at Uni, learnt things and had an interesting year in terms of flatting.
Christmas this year was fun, the day was spent with family opening presents. I had renee as my secret santa and got a ton of hair styling stuff and this awesome crane game that i filled with roses chocolates. Some good smelly stuff was received from work and sarah got me some lemon drops and a girls shirt. With a $30 gift voucher i bought myself a bike pump, some lights for my wheels, and an awesomely cheesy horror movie. Yeah.
Boxing day was spent in rotorua with mum and pam, we dropped an aunty off at the airprot, ate at NBs, played minigolf where mum beat me and pam by 3. Rode the gondola, me and pam went luging where we got an awesome photo taken, and yeah that was the day. The day after was spent at the beach whee i got burnt from using expired sun screen. Oh well. No peeling this time which is odd, but I still have burns on my sides. Not mush has happened since but it hasnt been that long.
So, lets see how many new years resolutions I achieved.
1. Get rid of those damn love handles that have been pissing me off ages.
Yeah I don't think they're going anywhere... There seems to be no excercise that can get rid of them, i'll have to try a different approach next year.
2. Continue going to the gym.
Check. This was very easy to achieve, though I doubt I made any progress.
3. Make it up to myself for betraying my ideals.
Done. After living with the pissheads this year, it was obvious that it was nothing.
4. Have better relationships
with new flatmates, no hating of either direction, or feelings of abandonment.
Kind of. While the first couple ended up hating all of us, and the second couple were annoying immature pissheads, I've maintianed a healty relationship with sarah and aaron and we will continue to live with together for another year.
5. Finally recover from my being robbed that happened last year and the year before.
Also done, new laptop, new pokemon games, new bike, the court case happened and he admitted he took my stuff. (what stuff i dont know) Justice was served.
6. Work part time, so i can have money for the life that i hope to have this year. Not at McDonalds.
Uh half of that. No i ddint work part time during uni. However I am now working at Video Ezy which started immediately after uni finished so the not at mcdonalds part is finally achieved.
7. Pass all my papers. Duh.
Naturally.
8. Figure out what the hell im going to do next year.
I have decided to remain galadriel once more. Honours here I come.
9. Get over the negative vibe i feel towards my writings and just bloody write something. Preferabbly scripts as they recieve most praise.
Mixed bag with this one, but I hardly wrote anything so I'm gonna say fail.
10. Find out where Buffy season 8 will be sold and when, and then proceed to buy them.
Done, Im on a call list and am informed whenver they arrive plus with the added bonus of Angel.
11. Be less cynical.
Probably not, Renees relationship with that boy who bought her a necklace didnt last (as predicted), jarrod dumped pam. Not helping cynicism.
12. Take a class in something crazy like salsa dancing.
Fail, I did nothing after so much talk. Perhaps next year.
7 out of 12 not bad. That 6 and two halves, so a possible 8. 3/4 of my resolutions completed. all in all a successful year.
Will have to think up some more challenging ones for next year.
